Paul Cutler appointed as newest voting board member of the Utah Inland Port Authority

Utah Representative Paul Cutler was appointed to the UIPA Board on April 23, 2026.

The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) welcomes Rep. Paul Cutler as its newest voting member of the Board of Directors. Cutler, who represents Utah House District 18, was appointed by Utah House Speaker Mike Schultz and was sworn in during the UIPA Board meeting on April 23, 2026.

“Rep. Paul Cutler brings a strong record of public service and thoughtful leadership to the Utah Inland Port Authority board,” said Speaker Mike Schultz. “His perspective and commitment to Utah’s long-term economic strength will be a valuable asset as UIPA continues its work to support infrastructure, logistics and opportunity across the state.”

UIPA is governed by a seven-member board that includes five voting members and two non-voting members. Under the Port’s current board structure, one voting member is appointed by the Utah House of Representatives.

“I’m honored to join the Utah Inland Port Authority board and grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role,” said Rep. Paul Cutler. “UIPA plays an important part in helping communities prepare for responsible growth, strengthen infrastructure and support Utah’s economic future. I look forward to contributing to that work.”

The Utah Inland Port Authority works with local communities and industry partners to strengthen Utah’s supply chain, support strategic infrastructure investment and advance economic development across the state.

“Paul Cutler’s appointment adds another strong voice to the UIPA board at an important time for our organization,” said Ben Hart, executive director of the Utah Inland Port Authority. “As we continue advancing project areas and infrastructure partnerships across the state, his experience and leadership will help support our mission to strengthen Utah’s logistics network and expand economic opportunity.”

The Port also extends its appreciation to former Rep. Tyler Clancy for his service on UIPA’s Board. Clancy was appointed by Speaker Mike Schultz in 2025 and served as the House’s voting representative on the board before transitioning into his new full-time role as Utah’s state homeless coordinator. UIPA is grateful for his leadership, service and support of the Port’s work.
