One year after its creation, the Utah Inland Port Authority’s Skyline Corridor Project Area is driving meaningful growth across Sanpete, Sevier, and Wayne counties—showing how coordinated rural investment can strengthen Utah’s economy.

Since its adoption, the project has helped attract and support new developments that highlight the region’s innovation and quality of life. Soapcreek Manufacturing, an all-natural soap and personal care products company, is building its new facility in Ephraim, producing handmade soaps, shampoos, and essential-oil-based goods. Nearby, the Ephraim Crossing master-planned community is now under construction, transforming 312 acres into a mixed-use development that will bring new housing, retail, and light industrial opportunities to the area.
Positioned along major transportation routes like US-89 and I-70, the Skyline Corridor Project Area is designed to leverage Utah’s central location, strong workforce, and expanding logistics network.
“Skyline Corridor represents the next chapter for Central Utah,” said Jenna Draper, Associate Vice President of Regional Project Area Development at UIPA. “These projects show that rural communities can attract diverse, sustainable investment when the right partnerships and infrastructure are in place.”
