West Weber Infrastructure Project Marks Major Milestone for Regional Growth

The Utah Inland Port Authority joined Weber County, the State of Utah, Black Pine Development,  and other local stakeholders this week to celebrate the construction kickoff of a major sewer infrastructure project serving the West Weber Project Area.

UIPA’s Associate Vice President Stephanie Pack presented at the ribbon-cutting event, marking the first phase of regional infrastructure designed to support long-term industrial and residential growth in western Weber County. The project includes construction of a sewer lift station with 6 million gallons of capacity, helping unlock opportunities across the Inland Port project area and surrounding communities.

“This is a huge milestone for our project area, and we’re proud to play a role in facilitating this much-needed infrastructure lift for the area and its present and future residents,” Pack said.

The West Weber Project Area spans approximately 9,000 acres near Little Mountain and is positioned near several major transportation assets, including I-15, I-84, U.S. 89, Union Pacific rail, a nearby regional airport and the future Legacy Corridor connection.

“This catalytic project unlocks long-constrained capacity and powers large-scale growth in our Inland Port and adjacent residential project areas,” said Stephanie Russell with Weber County. “This is a prime example of how to accomplish a large development lift by leveraging Utah’s finance tools and private investment.”
