Northwest Quadrant Sustainability Action Study

A robust economy and a healthy environment are not mutually exclusive. Sustainable economic growth is key to meeting today’s needs, as well as those of future generations. To balance growth and resiliency, it’s essential to protect and preserve environmentally sensitive areas and critical natural resources, adapt to the effects of climate change, and minimize adverse impacts of development and freight logistics on Utah’s air quality and resource availability.

The UIPA Sustainability Action Study is a vital document that empowers balanced economic growth by articulating a vision for sustainable development and environmental stewardship, along with how this vision can be integrated into various decision-making levels. This concept presents a viable framework for advancing sustainable development through a comprehensive sustainability strategy. The goal is to empower regional economies by facilitating intelligent and sustainable logistics-related development projects.
