Mineral Mountains Project Area Marks Two Years of Growth

Two years after its establishment, the Utah Inland Port Authority’s Mineral Mountains Project Area is demonstrating what coordinated rural investment can achieve.

Since its adoption in 2023, the project has attracted new employers, supported renewable energy innovation, and advanced infrastructure across Beaver County. Unitech Manufacturing’s 50-job expansion in Beaver City, Fervo Energy’s geothermal development near Milford, and agricultural manufacturing in Minersville all showcase how the area’s strategic location and resources are fueling growth.

Spanning Beaver City, Milford, and Minersville, the Mineral Mountains Project Area leverages rail connectivity, proximity to I-15, and abundant renewable energy potential. UIPA and local leaders continue to prioritize infrastructure, workforce development, and community engagement to ensure long-term benefits for residents and businesses.

“Mineral Mountains represents the best of rural Utah—innovation, collaboration, and opportunity,” said Danny Stewart, Associate Vice President of Regional Project Area Development with UIPA. “The progress over the past two years is just the beginning.”
