Here are the NWQ incentives that are helping businesses achieve strategic and sustainable development goals:

Authority Infrastructure Bank (AIB)
An interlocal agreement with the City of Salt Lake City is providing big opportunities
The UIPA works in partnership with the city of Salt Lake City, ensuring that the City’s 2016 Master Plan is encompassed within the UIPA’s vision for the jurisdictional area. In October 2022, UIPA entered into an interlocal agreement with Salt Lake City, specifically noting that UIPA will allocate 40% of the property tax revenue generated in Salt Lake City to environmental and community mitigation projects within its jurisdiction.

Sustainability Funds
UIPA will collaborate with the Salt Lake City to allocate funds for Environmental and Community Mitigation.
Affordable Housing
The Redevelopment Agency (RDA) is obligated to invest 10% of property tax income from exempt areas into affordable housing.
