Construction is officially underway for the Savage Railport in Iron County. It’s also a key component of the Utah Inland Port Authority’s Iron Springs Project Area.
Dain Maher, Logistics and Rail Strategy Manager with UIPA, had a great site visit earlier this week.
Anticipated to be up and running by mid-2024, this railport will be a game-changing hub connecting agriculture, construction, and other essential supply chains. This will give shippers direct access to Union Pacific lines, while Southern Utah readies to broaden its global connections.
