SALT LAKE CITY— The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) today announced the departure of two key board members: Mike Schultz, Speaker of the Utah House of Representatives, effective immediately, and Miles Hansen, former CEO of the World Trade Center, whose service will conclude on January 9, 2024.
Mike Schultz has been a pivotal force behind UIPA’s success over the last several years, contributing significantly to its mission.
“Mike’s role in shaping the Inland Port and its achievements cannot be overstated,” said Ben Hart, executive director of UIPA. “His support and guidance have been fundamental in building our relationships and driving progress. We are immensely grateful for his dedication and the proactive approach he brought to our endeavors.”
Miles Hansen, as the first board chair post-2022 reorganization, played a crucial role in driving local economic growth and fostering partnerships. Miles’ leadership helped to guide the Inland Port through its restructuring and establishment as a statewide economic force.
“Miles’ commitment to transparency and equitable stakeholder engagement has greatly reinforced our values of accountability and respect,” Hart remarked. “His innovative thinking and dedication to sustainable growth have been instrumental in advancing UIPA’s objectives.”
