Benn Buys
Deputy Executive Director
Benn Buys is the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Utah Inland Port Authority. As part of his duties, Benn also oversees information technology, purchasing, human resources, and asset management. Prior to his time at the Port, Benn served in executive management and oversaw finances for the Office of the Legislative Auditor General, the Department of Human Resource Management, and the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
Benn has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2011 and is a die-hard Ute fan. He received degrees in Accounting and Marketing as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the university, and has been attending football and basketball games there for decades.
When not working, Benn is typically on the sidelines either cheering for or coaching his four kids in baseball, basketball, or lacrosse. He and his wife Cheri raise their family in Woods Cross and are proud supporters of Bountiful High Athletics.
