Lynne Mayer
Associate Vice President
Statewide Project Area Development
Lynne is a Utah native, a proud U of U alumna, and after spending many years in Southern California, she (wisely) moved back to Salt Lake City. She began working as the executive assistant in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, reporting to the executive director.
Through her time there, she became familiar with the Governor’s Office, the Utah Legislative system, economic development and growth, and the creation and strategic plan of the Utah Inland Port Authority. In October 2020, she joined the team, becoming the fifth employee.
She is now the Associate Vice President, Statewide Project Areas, working closely with the leadership team and Regional AVPs to track the Port's Project Areas from inception through creation and each amendment cycle. She leads the Port’s recruitment and business development efforts, connecting site selectors, agency partners and companies with Utah’s regional opportunities. From drafting results-driven project responses and coordinating logistics infrastructure needs, Lynne is dedicated to fostering economic growth and operational excellence across all Utah Inland Port Project Areas.
She is extremely proud to have been a part of this organization for so many years. She enjoys working with the Project Area communities to implement their visions and create opportunities that benefit the entire state of Utah through the Inland Port’s involvement.
