Notice of Non-Discrimination

The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, or sex in administration of its programs or activities, and the UIPA does not intimidate or retaliate against any individual or group because they have exercised their rights to participate in actions protected, or oppose actions prohibited, by 40 C.F.R. Part 5 and 7, or for the purpose of interfering with such rights.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Notice

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals with impaired vision or hearing, limited English proficiency (LEP), or other disabilities requiring special accommodation should notify Larry Shepherd at 801-699-0104.

Language Assistance

A person who does not speak English as their primary language and who has a limited ability to read, write, speak or understand English may have limited English proficiency (LEP) and may be entitled to language assistance with respect to UIPA programs and activities. Language assistance can include interpretation, which means oral or spoken transfer of a message from one language into another language and/or translation, which means the written transfer of a message from one language into another language.

If you believe that you have been discriminated against with respect to a UIPA program or activity, you may contact the Civil Rights Coordinator to learn how and where to file a complaint of discrimination.

The civil rights coordinator is responsible for:

  • Coordinating compliance efforts and receipt of inquiries concerning non-discrimination requirements by 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7;

  • Taking reasonable steps to provide meaningful access for persons with limited English proficiency (LEP);

  • Providing qualified persons with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from the recipient’s programs and activities.

  • Ensuring that public participation processes are available to all persons regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, age, or sex.
