Advancing the Future of Advanced Air Mobility with the Multi-State Collaborative

Yesterday, the Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) had the privilege of hosting the Multi-State Collaborative (MSC), a groundbreaking initiative coordinated by our partners at the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). We extend a special thanks to Paul Damron, Advanced Air Mobility Manager for UDOT Aeronautics, for his leadership in bringing this group together.

With participants joining both in person and virtually, the meeting underscored the collective commitment to advancing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). This innovative technology has the potential to revolutionize transportation, starting with cargo movement in rural communities and ultimately expanding to passenger services. UIPA is proud to support this vision, integrating AAM into existing infrastructure and helping build the “Highways in the Sky.”

The MSC brings together 35 participating states and entities, reflecting a nationwide effort to shape the future of transportation. This collaboration includes representatives from:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Choctaw Nation, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

As we look ahead, UIPA remains committed to supporting the development of AAM, fostering partnerships, and ensuring that Utah is at the forefront of this transportation evolution.
