The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA), in partnership with Salt Lake City, is conducting a community survey to help guide planning for the Northwest Quadrant—an area west of the Salt Lake City International Airport that plays a critical role in Utah’s future economic and infrastructure development.
This survey is part of a broader effort to better understand the priorities, concerns, and ideas of residents, workers, business owners, and community advocates connected to the area. Topics include transportation, environmental outcomes, quality of life, economic development, and community engagement.
“This is a chance for west side communities to help shape what this area becomes,” said Ben Hart, Executive Director of UIPA. “We’re not just planning for growth—we’re planning for the kind of future people want to live and work in.”
UIPA staff will be attending community events across the west side of Salt Lake City this summer, sharing information about the Northwest Quadrant and helping residents participate in the survey.
If you live, work, or spend time in or around the Northwest Quadrant, your voice is essential. The survey takes just a few minutes and will help inform future investments and decisions in the area
