Black Gold

The Black Gold Project Area is located in Duchesne County and the City of Roosevelt in Utah’s Uintah Basin, covering approximately 7,746 acres across multiple tracts. The area is primarily served by U.S. Highway 40 (east–west corridor to the Wasatch Front and Colorado) and U.S. Highway 191 (north–south access to central Utah and Wyoming), making trucking the dominant freight mode today.

The project area is positioned to support logistics tied to regional energy production, agriculture, and industrial activity. Establishing a project area here allows for infrastructure investment, logistics development, and industrial recruitment that can strengthen supply chains and diversify the local economy while supporting existing commodity flows.
