Doug Pierce brings over three decades of technical expertise and public service to his role at the Inland Port. Prior to this position, Doug served as the GIS Administrator for Layton City for more than 30 years. During his tenure, he oversaw every facet of the city’s GIS system and played a critical role in managing 911 GIS operations for both Layton City and Davis County.

Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Weber State University, supported by a diverse academic background with minors in Geospatial Analysis, Geology, Urban Planning, and History.
