Larry Shepherd serves as the Board Secretary/Administrative Admin, assuming this role in September of 2022. He enjoys the opportunity to contribute to impactful economic development that aligns with community needs, values, and environmental protection while supporting the creation of new high-paying jobs for Utahns.

Shepherd brings years of varied public service to his position. During more than seven years with the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity he worked to strengthen entrepreneurial activity through the state’s small business initiatives and to enable corporate growth and job creation as part of the corporate recruitment and incentives team. Prior to working for the state of Utah he served for more than two decades as a senior staff member in the Utah offices of two United States Senators. There his roles included directing staff efforts across the state, community and business outreach, local media relations, and as an IT specialist/strategist.
