The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) today announced the approval of the Historic Capitol Project Area Plan, a major initiative aimed at fostering economic growth and infrastructure development in Fillmore City.

“They have the most restrictive development procedures I have seen in the state, particularly in requiring buffers and avoidance protocols even though in this case they are not mandated by state or federal cultural resources laws.”

“With the Castle Country Project Area, we are positioned to transform the region’s economic base from traditional industries to more diversified and sustainable sectors,” said Ben Hart, executive director with the UIPA.“ This initiative will attract investments into the region, creating a ripple effect of benefits for local communities.”

The Utah Inland Port Authority announced the proposed development of the Historic Capitol Project Area within Fillmore City, Utah, encompassing approximately 1,960 acres.
